Job Description

Lead diverse farm operations at a research centre driving best practices commercial growth and key industry partnerships.

  • 2 year temporary full-time role
  • 35 hours per week
  • Location: Grafton
  • Salary from $75528 to $116969 pa 12% superannuation leave entitlements (Technical Officer G1-3)

The salary offered to the successful candidate will be commensurate with qualifications skills and experience as outlined in the Crown Employees (Department of Industry) Technical Staff Award and the Technical Staff Merit Progression Guidelines.

About the Role

This role leads a diverse farm operation encompassing planning team management and stakeholder engagement. Youll apply your expertise to guide research and commercial activities while skilfully balancing competing demands and communicating effectively.

Were looking for someone who can bring:

  • Proven expertise in diverse farm operations including planning managing and optimising cropping and livestock programs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams and fostering strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong financial acumen and problem-solving abilities particularly in balancing competing demands and diverse interests.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications in accordance with Part 2 (xviii) of the Crown Employees (Department of Industry) Technical Staff Award
  • Demonstrated experience in cropping and pasture management systems
  • Valid drivers licence
