We are looking for our next Entry Level Designer to join our team!
Are you looking to expand your career as an Interior Designer
You could be a great fit for our Queen Creek Arizona store! We are looking for a Sales and Design Associate who has future goals of becoming a Designer for La-Z-Boy.
This would be a great opportunity for any student who is currently studying design or is a recent graduate of an Interior Design program. We are also considering applicants who are later in their career as sales associates/ designers and are looking for a change to join our La-Z-Boy team!
In this role you would work closely with our Designer:
- Creating rooms using our design center!
- Scheduling and attending in-home appointments!
- Training alongside our Designer from start to finish on projects!
- Work on projects on your own to create dream spaces for our clients!
- Assisting our sales associates when a Designer is needed to ensure the client is getting a design that fits their lifestyle.

Sales and Design Associates at La-Z-Boy Furniture are paid $45864 base against commission on written sales with NO COMMISSION CAP. Our average design representatives earn over$75000/year with top performers earning over $90k.

Our Sales Associates bring a wide variety of sales and non-sales-related experience. We have previous high school and college athletes hotel/restaurant associates retail managers stay-at-home parents returning to work and much more! We hire for ambition attitude and ethics then train for furniture knowledge and sales process. We have the BEST customers in the world and are very selective about who we trust to care for them.

Commission: Earn more with UNCAPPED monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goals
The Total Compensation Range is at least the local applicable minimum wage and up to the high-earning average target for this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
- Interact with customers appropriately and professionally by providing the highest level of customer service to all current and future customers
- Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals by selling furniture accessories and services offered by La-Z-Boy
- Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues in a timely manner
- Attend and participate in company training store meeting
- Assist to train coach and develop new peers on LaZBoy product knowledge and selling process/skills to achieve store sales goals
- Accurately complete order information collect deposits and fees keep orderly customer records and research customer payments and deliveries
- Follow company procedures and policies. Including policies against harassment attendance sales policies and procedures and customer interaction
SCOPE & IMPACT:
- Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes
- Maintain a sales average consistent with Company Standards
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate build rapport and positively influence
- Vocational or technical training in field of study
- Bending lifting and standing for long periods of time
- Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
- Understanding and ability to word with computer technology
