What youll do:The Facilities Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities across all facilities within the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee (SHFBMT) network. The Maintenance Manager manages a team of Maintenance Associates and external vendors to ensure facilities equipment and grounds are properly maintained. The role includes oversight of preventative maintenance programs vendor contracts compliance with AIB food safety standards and maintenance request prioritization to support operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage work schedules for Maintenance Associates to complete inspections preventive repairs and general maintenance tasks. Oversee and approve timecards in the payroll system set annual performance goals and conduct performance evaluations for direct reports. Maintain a centralized maintenance request database tracking priority levels required resources estimated completion timelines and compliance records. Ensure facilities and grounds meet AIB food safety certification standards including MSDS inventory management brittle glass assessments and pest control measures. Perform and oversee general maintenance tasks including electrical carpentry plumbing masonry and painting. Supervise external contractors providing grounds maintenance janitorial services and other professional maintenance support. Monitor and service emergency equipment kitchen appliances and facility systems escalating issues as necessary. Source repair parts services and supplies within budget constraints obtaining approval from the Director Operations for major expenditures. Oversee fire protection systems and coordinate with vendors as needed to ensure compliance and functionality. Participate in the Safety Committee to enhance workplace safety initiatives. Assist the Warehouse Manager and staff in ensuring material handling equipment (MHE) and rolling stock remain in safe working condition. Manage maintenance requests and escalate larger projects requiring external support. Effectively manage service supplies to optimize repair and maintenance expenses ensuring cost-effective solutions that maximize value for the organization.

When & Where:
SCHEDULE - Monday Friday 7:00 am 4:30 pm.
- Hours vary based on organizational needs including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Occasional duties may be necessary to respond to issues outside of normal working hours (e.g. disaster response community events etc).
TRAVEL - Up to 25% travel required for site inspections team support and vendor management. Routine local travel; occasional overnight travel for training may be required.
- Must possess a valid drivers license maintain a clean MVR and provide proof of auto insurance.

Education: - High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical license preferred (HVAC Electrical Plumbing).
Experience: - 5-6 years of experience in maintenance facility management or a related field. - Experience with vendor management compliance and preventive maintenance programs. Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience using maintenance tracking databases and work order systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
