Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our thriving legal team in Harrogate. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual to provide essential support to a Fee Earner managing a diverse caseload of residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
As a Conveyancing Assistant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient progression of conveyancing matters. Your responsibilities will mirror the high standards and direct support structure of our successful Leeds team offering a consistent and rewarding work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing comprehensive administrative and paralegal support to a Fee Earner on all aspects of residential conveyancing.
Preparing and drafting legal documents correspondence and contracts.
Liaising with clients solicitors estate agents and other third parties.
Conducting searches land registry applications and completing relevant forms.
Managing diaries appointments and deadlines effectively.
Assisting with client onboarding including ID checks and file opening procedures.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and case management systems.
Handling post-completion matters and archiving.
Supporting the Fee Earner with billing and financial administration.
About You:
Proven experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar role within a legal firm.
Solid understanding of the conveyancing process from start to finish.
Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a professional and client-focused approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with case management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive and enthusiastic attitude eager to learn and develop within the role.
