Amazon Munich is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic accounting team combining operational excellence with innovative thinking. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology where your analytical skills and fresh perspectives will drive meaningful improvements.
As a Senior Financial Analyst youll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy while identifying and implementing process improvements. Your work will directly impact our financial operations and youll have the opportunity to explore and develop AI-driven solutions that enhance our accounting processes.
In this role youll manage essential operational accounting tasks including month-end and quarter-end closes while actively contributing to process optimization projects. Youll work with international teams to ensure smooth financial operations and collaborate on implementing innovative solutions. Key job responsibilities
Drive and participate in national and international accounting projects
Worldwide business partnering within the Amazon group liaising with Tax and Legal departments
Responsibility for month-end quarter-end and year-end closing of financial books.
Assessment and evaluation of GAAP to GAAP differences
Drive improvements in accounting processes internal workflows and the implementation of best practices
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge in US-GAAP or IFRS and any other local GAAP
- Demonstrated professional experience in accounting preferably gained within a Big Four accounting audit firm and / or a multinational organization
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English
- Proficient Microsoft Excel User
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex accounting and/or financial reporting challenges
- Entrepreneurial hands on can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box
