Senior Electrical/Avionics Engineer - EASA Modifications (M/F/D)

In our commercial modifications team we are proud to operate under our EASA Part21J Design Organization Approval; with a clear mission: to become the number one customer choice for aircraft retrofit solutions in the commercial aviation market. Our international team with a strong presence in Munich and Hamburg specializes in interior retrofit projects ranging from halon fire extinguisher replacements to full cabin tube strips.

As we expand our operations in Germany we are excited to grow our EASA Modifications Team focusing on electrical and avionics design for all Boeing aircraft models. In this role you will:

  • Analyze define and generate the documentation for the certification of complex large aircraft modifications for our global airline partners to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the companys Design Organization Handbook (DOH).

  • Work closely with segment experts Office of Airworthiness and Authorities in order to ensure guideline understanding design strategy and certification.

  • Be a technical focal for engineering and certification issues.

What you bring to the table:

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical Avionics Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering or a comparable degree

  • 5 years experience with part 21G POA MRO process and all regulations that interface with part 21J DOA for the purpose of A/C modification

  • Current or recent appointment as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) with terms of approval relevant to the electrical avionics and/or software disciplines is essential.

Additionally preferred skills:

  • Experience: You have extensive experiencein technical leadership of large and complex aircraft modification projects (or similar scope projects within the aviation industry)

  • Knowledge: You can demonstrate experience with of aircraft equipment qualifications and avionic modifications aircraft integrations with a high level of attention to detail

  • Collaboration: You are experienced in working effectively with colleagues and customers and are willing to help develop mentor and coach less experienced staff

  • Tools: You can demonstrate expertise with navigating OEM data systems for specifications and standards and have worked with our most important tools: Catia V5 / V6 AutoCAD

  • Personality: You are a principled reliable professional who values integrity safety and accountability always striving for the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct. Inclusive and collaborative by nature you communicate transparently respect diverse perspectives and take ownership to drive results the right way
