Job Description
Sunrise Enterprises of Roseburg Inc. a private nonprofit corporation that provides community inclusion and employment services for adults with disabilities.
Position Purpose & Description: The Relief Store Manager provides flexible short-term management coverage for Sunrise Shop & Save locations when a permanent Store Manager is unavailable due to vacation leave or vacancy. This position ensures continuity in store operations supervision and customer service during these transitions. The Relief Store Manager is expected to rotate between locations as needed and may be permanently placed in a store should a managerial position become available. This position requires a working knowledge of all Shop & Save store procedures policies and expectations.

Locations: Sutherlin Roseburg Winston Myrtle Creek & Reedsport; is as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least three years of mid-level management experience preferred
- One year of experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
- Four years of production supervision experience (preferably retail).
- High school diploma or GED or acceptable combination of experience and education.
- Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Oregon drivers license and insurable by Sunrise insurance carrier.
- Must obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Pass criminal history check and drug test including THC.
- Ability to relate respectfully to individuals with disabilities.
Working Conditions/Hours:
- Minimum 40 hours/week; evening and weekend availability may be required.
- Must be willing to travel between locations within Douglas County.
- Mostly indoor work; exposure to dust and donated goods.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Intermittent standing walking bending stooping lifting up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and multitask effectively.
Essential Functions:
- Provide interim management coverage at Shop & Save locations during manager absences or vacancies.
- Willingness to accept permanent placement as Store Manager at any Sunrise Shop & Save location when a vacancy arises.
- Maintain store operations cash handling and customer service according to Sunrise policies.
- Supervise and support store staff volunteers and trainees.
- Ensure proper merchandising inventory cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.
- Fill in for cashiering production or customer service tasks as needed.
- Submit timely and accurate timesheets and documentation.
- Maintain security of the store and report safety concerns to supervisor.
- Attend required meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Other Duties:
- Serve as a role model for professional behavior and work ethic.
- Provide transportation for trainees when necessary.
- Uphold Sunrise policies including all DSP-related responsibilities when applicable.
- Complete any other duties assigned by the Retail Division Manager.
Employment Expectation: This is a mobile management role intended to ensure consistent leadership across retail sites. When a store manager position becomes permanently available the Relief Store Manager is expected to assume that role transitioning from temporary to permanent assignment.
