Job Description
We are seeking a stellar Senior Compliance Specialist to join the Kuiper GSC Team supporting Amazons Project Kuiper. Amazons Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology enjoys being continually challenged and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Compliance Specialist to partner closely with accounting business engineering legal and tax partners to solve problems drive alignment and assure functional requirements applicable to public funding compliance obligations are known and implemented. As a Senior Compliance Specialist for Kuiper you will own key requirements implementation workstreams focused on operationalizing the compliance obligations applicable to Kuiper as a service provider in various public funding programs globally. You will be the main point of contact for reviewing business requirements and responding with functional requirements in support of the technical design and build of these public funding program needs.
You will intake complex issues foster shared understanding by asking detailed questions about proposed implementation and execution strategies and drive clarify for the path forward. To be successful in this role you must have strong communication skills and be able to present complex information clearly and concisely. You will maintain an up-to-date and holistic view of Kuipers public funding program compliance obligations and think in terms of immediate problem solving while focusing on long-term operational excellence.
- 6 years of compliance audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
- Experience developing and implementing of standards policies and programs or equivalent
- Experience with compliance obligations for government grant and/or public funding programs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
