Job Description

Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following TEMPORARY position for the 2025-2026 school year:

Location: North Middle School

Temporary Position: Educational Assistant

Hours: 8 hours per day

Temporary employees are defined as employees hired for a specific period not to
exceed the equivalent ofninety (90) consecutive working days.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Also one of the following options:
    • Two years of college study.
    • An associates or higher degree.
    • A passing score on the District reading writing and math assessment.
  2. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  3. Knowledge of and experience with computers.
  4. Knowledge of business English spelling and mathematics; some knowledge of office practices and procedures; type at a working rate speed.
  5. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
  7. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
  • Upon selection employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.

COMPENSATION: $15.53-$22.43 per hour (current 2024-2025 pay rates 2025-2026 pay rates contingent on ratification and School Board approval). Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.

This position can be combined with other District 7 hours to add to existing benefits. When combining positions the hours worked cannot conflict or be changed to accommodate the new position. This does not apply for temporary and overflow positions.
