We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Control Area Engineer - Structures to join our team in the North East region of the United States. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in structural engineering projects overseeing inspections and maintaining compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for structural engineering projects
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
- Review and analyze structural designs drawings and calculations for accuracy and compliance
- Identify and resolve quality issues recommending corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and contractors to maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare detailed quality control reports and documentation
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards building codes and best practices in structural engineering
- Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice on quality control matters
- Train and mentor junior team members on quality control processes and techniques
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Certified Quality Control Engineer (CQE) certification a plus
- 5 years of experience in structural engineering or quality control
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as AutoCAD and Revit
- In-depth knowledge of building codes regulations and industry standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience with construction site inspections and quality assurance processes
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven project management abilities
Additional Information :
Salary: Salary range is dependent on scope of work location of project as well as level of experience. This range could fall anywhere between $90k - $125k
