Job Description
The Fluke IG team in Everett WA. Seeks a Senior Tool Maker to work with the engineering team in the field of Professional Test Equipment. Fluke is an industry leader in high quality cost efficient digital testing equipment.
As a member of the Mechanical development team the ideal candidate will be responsible for modification and fabrication and maintenance of complex precision injection molding tooling. Other responsibilities will include set up and operation and of wide variety of fabrication machines machine tools and machine shop equipment. Additional skills required are working knowledge to solve complex tooling problems and develop and incorporate solutions. May be required to travel worldwide to support new product tooling development.
Responsibilities:
- Works from CAD database specifications diagrams or verbal instructions to change fix and maintain injection molding tooling.
- High level of interaction with designers and other engineers.
- May lead others on a project basis.
Working conditions:
- Machine shop conditions requiring personal industry standard safety equipment.
- Requires the ability to service tools ranging from a few pounds up to 2 Tons.
- All external hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge and shown experience working with all required tooling shop equipment: EDM Multi-axis milling machine surface grinders etc.
- Experience using Surf-cam is a plus.
- Self motivated individual to drive daily progress even on complex tooling issues.
- Person who can work with people to develop and support total package tooling development meeting all cost quality and performance goals.
- Ability to influence others-must be able to inform convince and persuade others to action on key initiatives.
