Job Description
CIMA is looking for a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our team specializing in active and passive network infrastructures (outdoor networks FTTH). You will play a strategic role in the planning design and coordination of telecommunications projects. As a technical reference and project manager you will actively contribute to the evolution of digital infrastructures while ensuring the technical quality and performance of the solutions proposed. This position is for a professional with a solid understanding of telecommunications networks combined with proven experience in managing multidisciplinary projects all within a structured collaborative framework. The work is carried out in hybrid mode with a flexible home office among our sites in Quebec.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure the technical design and production of plans and specifications for telecommunications projects mainly in infrastructure architecture and outdoor networks (fiber optics FTTH backbone).
- Supervise engineering deliverables in collaboration with in-house teams (engineers technicians draftsmen)
- Participate in drawing up tender documents and analyzing proposals
- Contribute to strategic planning and project management: coordination of stakeholders adherence to budgets and schedules
- Write technical and analytical reports and participate in the development of innovative technological solutions
- Coach and support technical resources in their professional development
- Collaborate actively with customers partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective communication
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering telecommunications or related discipline
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in telecommunications engineering
- Experience in large-scale deployment projects an asset
- In-depth knowledge of active networks such as telecommunications equipment and external telecommunications networks (fiber optics FTTH backbone)
- Proven experience in technical project management
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ)
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English: bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position as it enables effective collaboration with our various stakeholders
- Proficiency in design tools and specialized software (AutoCAD GIS etc.) - an asset
- PMP certification - an asset
