In this role you will be contributing to the Design Systems libraries documentation portals and overall developer experience. You will collaborate closely with designers software engineers accessibility experts product owners and other stakeholders across Product Design and Technology organizations. This position a lot of learning and doing requiring the use of software development knowledge and advanced AI tools to develop precise accessible and responsive custom web and mobile components patterns and applications. You will utilize web and mobile technologies knowledge and AI-powered tools for code and prototype generation leveraging modern language models and related technologies. The role involves hands-on development as well as using and refining AI processes to produce high-quality front-end libraries and related full stack solutions. Knowledge or interest in backend systems will elevate contributions to enterprise-grade products applications and systems. Working with cross-functional teams you will need to stay informed about the latest advancements in front-end full stack DevOps and generative AI technologies to integrate best practices and innovative solutions into projects.
Role responsibilities:
Be an AI-native developer and build engaging usable and accessible UI components patterns applications and code libraries for web & mobile technologies for our public and open-source Design System.
Innovate in web and mobile development by adopting and experimenting with AI-driven techniques across product and developer workflows.
Analyze existing software for usability and accessibility issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
Work with a diverse team of product owners UX designers and developers in a fast-paced environment with quick iterative cycles.
Keep up to date with the latest trends in web and mobile engineering and introduce them into projects when appropriate.
Learn and improve UI/UX front-end best practices and accessibility for web and mobile.
Learn the current DevOps of the team and seek to improve it through learning doing and leveraging agentic AI techniques.
Field inquiries and requests for support from developers designers stakeholders and other users of the system through developer relations and community support.
Stay up to date with the current engineering landscape in the generative AI space and integrate best practices into our solutions.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelors Degree
Preferred Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience
Bachelors degree in design CS MIS UX or equivalent experience.
Experience working on design systems engineering component libraries single page applications and/or mobile applications.
Essential Qualifications
Solid foundational understanding of HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript.
Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and/or React.
Experience with at least one server-side web application framework and language (e.g. NodeJS or Python).
Familiarity with mobile app platforms like Flutter or native Android/iOS SDKs is a plus.
Ability and passion to implement UI components and layouts with attention to detail.
Some experience building Single Page Applications consuming API/REST services.
Basic knowledge of UX design principles wireframes and prototyping.
Comfort working independently with guidance and managing time efficiently.
Basic understanding of web standards and accessibility best practices.
Ability to analyze requirements and contribute to application design.
Familiarity with Figma for design collaboration.
Understanding of responsive design concepts.
Familiarity with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot Cursor Bolt Lovable V0 is a plus.
Exposure to full stack development (Python FastAPI LLMs) is a plus.
Willingness and passion to learn DevOps and containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
Promising problem-solving and communication skills.
Driven in staying current with generative AI and software engineering best practices.
Commitment to user-centric and intuitive application development.
Additional Information :

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 84600.00 to 119650.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
