HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT:

The Little Planet Artist will help shape the vision for our sustainable brand playing a key role in how we tell our story. They will work closely with the Design team to deliver fresh innovative print and graphic direction managing art from initial concept to final product.
Little Planet is a small but growing team requiring strong collaboration skills and flexibility. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while also willing to contribute in different capacities to meet our evolving needs. This is a hands-on creative position ideal for someone who is passionate about childrens apparel sustainability storytelling and making a difference in the childrenswear space.

The Little Planet Art Manager role reports into the VP of Design and is based in our Buckhead office.

35%: Art creation:

  • Responsible for developing 10-20 innovative and on-brand pieces of art per season including prints and graphics

25%: Manage Little Planet technical art files and artwork feedback:

  • Responsible for setting up repeats editing color creating .ai art paperwork files
  • Manages file saving and communication with teams
  • Communicates print and art execution and placement feedback with cross-functional partners to ensure

25% Art research and trend presentation:

  • Partner with Design V.P on researching inspiration for new art ahead of each season
  • Responsible for putting together presentations and mood boards to feature art direction for the brand

15% Print edits & upcycling:

  • Manages re-creating editing and setting up repeats for both archived and purchased art (.psd & .ai) as needed

WED LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Understanding of art printing techniques and print repeats
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Portfolio displaying strong sense of color layout and trend with the demonstrated ability to execute different art techniques and looks suitable for the LP brand

Preferred skills and experience:

  • 5 years experience in the fashion industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flex PLM experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Innovative mind set / creative problem solving
  • Flexibility
