Immediately Hiring: Shipping Receiving & Inventory Technician

Shift: First Shift Monday - Friday 6 or 7 AM Start Time
Hours: Full-Time 40 Hours per Week

Position Overview:

Dayton-Granger Inc. is seeking a reliable detail-oriented Shipping Receiving & Inventory Technician to support daily operations across our Stockroom and Shipping/Receiving departments. This is a hands-on dual-role position combining computer-based inventory management with physical material handling packing and fulfillment.

The ideal candidate is tech-savvy enjoys variety in their day and is comfortable working in both a warehouse and office setting. Youll float between teams based on daily operational needs and play a vital role in keeping our shipping and inventory processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter inventory and receiving data into the ERP system

  • Confirm incoming shipments and print necessary documents (labels packing slips etc.)

  • Assist in checking and receiving incoming parts and materials

  • Deliver items to proper locations and help organize the stockroom

  • Perform inventory transactions such as issuing returning or fulfilling backorders

  • Conduct cycle counts and support inventory accuracy and reconciliation

  • Assemble kits for production and ensure lot number traceability

  • Support packing labeling and shipping customer orders

  • Maintain a clean organized and safe work area

  • Float between departments and support daily operational needs as directed

  • Follow all DG safety procedures and policies per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 12 years of experience in inventory stockroom or warehouse work preferred

  • Basic computer and data entry skills (ERP experience is a plus)

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet throughout the day

  • Comfortable working in both office and physical warehouse environments

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Positive adaptable and team-oriented mindset
