Receptionist Medical Office

Work location: Texas Health Plano 6300 West Parker Road Plano TX 75093
Work hours:
- Full-time Day shifts: 40 hours per week.
- Five 8-hour shifts; Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 5:00pm

Heres What You Need
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
- 1-year of experience in doctors office or outpatient medical clinic required.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency
What You Will Do
- Receptionofcustomersinpersonandonphone
- Greetsandreceivesallpatientsandvisitorsusingserviceexcellencestandardsinallinteractions.
- Relaysmessagesandinformationtoappropriatepartiestimelyandaccurately.
- Actsasreceptionistfor department and manager
- Announcearrivalofpatientstocliniciansandescortpatientswhenappropriate.
- Schedulingofpatientvisits
- Schedulesnewandfollowupoutpatientappointmentsforallpatienttypesaccordingtoestablishedprocedures.
- Completescheckformedicalnecessityofscheduledtestsandproceduresandcommunicatesdiscrepanciesincodingordocumentation totheappropriateparties.
- Initial and ongoing insurance verification and certification for recurring or one time only accounts
- Coordinateaccuratepatientdatatodeterminefinancialobligations.
- Assistinobtainingandorupdatingverification/appropriatepre-certificationforallapplicablepatients.
- Notifyappropriatepartiesregardingcoveragetoincludeestimateinadequate
- deniedorreducedbenefits
- Faxneededreportstopayersmaintainingpatientconfidentiality.
- Accurateandtimelydataentryofverification/certificationintopatient
- managementinformationsystems.
