Job Summary
Responsible for assisting the manager with operational oversight improvement of clinical operations and staff supervision. Functions include training mentoring and evaluating clinical staff overseeing coordination of clinical activities for students coordination of patient care and flow telephone triage medical information management and clinical support for the radiologist. Also performs the duties of a clinical staff member and serves as a role model and resource person for staff in the department. This position acts as a liaison between the clinical staff managers and the Radiologists.

Essential Functions
- Assist management with operational oversight quality improvement operational flow performance measurement and implementation of new practices
- Assist in providing guidance to staff staff scheduling triage duties and is a resource to staff
- Oversees the coordination of clinical activities for students to ensure they are meeting core curriculum requirements
- Assures high quality radiographs are submitted by technologists to ensure optimal diagnostic information is available to radiologists for accurate and complete patient diagnosis
- Demonstrates positive customer service focus by delivering exemplary personal patient contact while executing radiology clinical duties
- Acts as a liaison between clinical staff managers and Radiologists
- Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation
- Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
Education
- Associates Degree Diagnostic Imaging required or
- Bachelors Degree Health Sciences preferred
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree
Licenses and Credentials
- Radiologic Technologist MA Licensure
- Registered Technologist ARRT-R - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
- Basic Life Support BLS Certification
Experience
- Radiology Technologist experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years required
- Leadership experience 0-1 year required
