The Mechanical department consists of approximately 100 people divided into seven groups located across three soon to be four sites. The teams work closely together across all locations and groups. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our clients newly established engineering office in Krakw. This is a dynamic and hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about mechanical design global collaboration and high engineering standards. The role combines both office-based engineering tasks and regular international travel to supervise hardware fabrication and installation in chemical plants worldwide. Youll be working with proprietary equipment across a range of complex technologies contributing to large-scale industrial projects and supporting global operations.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct workshop inspections to ensure compliance with internal quality standards during hardware fabrication.
- Perform on-site supervision of mechanical equipment installation at chemical plants around the world.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on complex engineering projects frequently traveling internationally as part of your role.
- Perform mechanical calculations (e.g. strength analysis) and participate in equipment design.
- Prepare and review technical documentation for procurement and fabrication.
- Review supplier drawings and specifications and participate in inspections at fabrication workshops.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of proprietary equipment such as convection reformers ammonia converters MeOH reactors and sulfuric acid equipment.
Requirements:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical engineering preferably in industrial or process plant environments (open to graduates with strong practical internships).
- Experience with workshop inspections site supervision or installation of mechanical equipment is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with design and calculation tools (e.g. Inventor AutoCAD Excel) is an advantage; willingness to learn and use new engineering software is required.
- Good understanding of technical documentation procurement processes and supplier collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems design including stress calculations and equipment specification.
- Strong attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally several times a year (up to 100 days/year) including supervision on construction sites and visits to suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); ability to work in an international multicultural team.
- Proactive attitude strong teamwork skills and openness to knowledge sharing and continuous development.
