Invitations to register: Corporate Paralegals Global Law Firms HK
Location: Hong Kong
In September 2024 Hong Kong returned to the top 3 of global financial centres and no.1 financial centre in Asia. We have also seen a marked increase in recruitment activity among law firms in the last quarter.
In anticipation of increased demand for corporate paralegals in 2025 Star Anise a leading legal and compliance recruitment firm based in Hong Kong is looking for highly skilled Corporate Paralegal applicants to register or update their CVs and to have the opportunity to be one of the first professionals to join one of our clients primarily international law firms with a strong presence in China and the APAC market and leading in-house legal teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Support verification and due diligence exercises
- Attend meetings take notes conduct research and analyses prepare reports
- Draft and file ancillary documents
- Liaise with client and intermediaries
- Assist with open and closing files and other administrative tasks
- Perform other ad-hoc assignments
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in law or a related field. A paralegal certification is an advantage.
- 1-5 years experience in transactional work including corporate ECM DCM funds M&A banking and finance and specialized banking such as structured products ISDA and OTC derivatives
- Solid experience in working with law firms with strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English Chinese and Mandarin
- Strong work ethic well organized with attention to detail a good team player proactive with strong sense of responsibility able to work to tight deadlines and unexpected volume of work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases
