Job Description

Lawrence Hall Chevrolet serves the Abilene Texas community and its surrounding areas. Our team enjoys training programs a fantastic culture and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming vehicles for damage or missing components
  • Perform a pre-delivery inspection on all vehicles. Remove plastic check fluids install components
  • Washing vehicle exterior cleaning vehicle interior and exterior windows
  • Fill vehicles with fuel before putting on lot
  • Clean engine compartment
  • Apply dressing on tires and clean wheels
  • Install accessories as needed
  • Maintains cleanliness of showroom cars
  • Maintains a clean and safe Detail bay free of trash water dirt leaves or debris
  • Maintain a clean and organized lot making sure all parking spots are filled
  • Operate all tools in a safe manner
  • Report any vehicle damage immediately to management
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • This physically demanding position requires frequent movement; i.e. bending lifting reaching squatting and getting into and out of various vehicles repeatedly during the work shift
  • May require completion of work outdoors and under varying climate conditions
  • Will work with and move numerous vehicles during the course of the working day
  • Occasional pushing pulling lifting or carrying of up to 50 lbs
  • Constantly receiving detailed information through oral communication and written
  • Abilityto distinguish small imperfections in your work such as streaks left on windows smudges onpaint surfaces areas of missed vacuuming etc
  • Ability to inspect your work as well as that of other team members
  • Work with a sense of urgency that demonstrates the value we place on our customers time
  • Strict adherence to our uniform and grooming standards
  • This position is a 6 day work week Mon - Sat
Qualifications
  • Experience in automotive detailing
  • Valid Texas Drivers License
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmissions
  • Must be able to work Saturdays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
