Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Automotive Technician Programmer to specialize in programming and reprogramming PCM ECM and TCM units. The ideal candidate will have experience flashing automotive modules back to factory settings along with a solid understanding of automotive systems and terminology.
Responsibilities
- Program and reprogram Powertrain Control Modules (PCM) Engine Control Modules (ECM) and Transmission Control Modules (TCM).
- Restore automotive modules to OEM/factory settings using OEM-level tools and software.
- Flash and calibrate vehicle tunes using industry-standard tuning software and hardware.
- Ensure all calibrations and reprogramming are completed accurately and meet manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of tune files vehicle specs and programming history.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and quality service delivery.
- Troubleshoot module communication or diagnostic issues related to reprogramming.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with automotive module programming and tuning.
- Knowledge of automotive terminology systems and diagnostics.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- EFI Calibration Program certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Bilingual in Spanish (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with tuning software such as HP Tuners or similar (preferred).
