The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Information Technology is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mainframe Programmer Analyst in AtlantaGeorgia.
Complete Description:
This position is responsible for providing system maintenance and enhancements for the DHS Special Projects Team.
Responsibilities include butare not limited to:
- Design develop and maintain Mainframe applications
- Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
- Work with IT support teams (ex. DBAs) to ensure support and project requirements are developed and successfully implemented
- Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
- Work with business team to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testing
- Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle
- On-call production support
Required Job Experience:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- 10 years of experience in mainframe development
- 10 years and expert knowledge of COBOL JCL CICS DB2 VSAM and other mainframe technologies
- Expert knowledge of DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI)
- Strong knowledge of IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER IDCAMS ICETOOL DEBUGGER(CICS and Batch) FILE MANAGER SORT Fault Analyzer
- Experience in all components of software delivery including requirements design development and testing
- Experience with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M Scheduling
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a team player
