Join Our Team as an Electrical Design Engineer!

Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level Emersons Product Development team in Marshalltown Iowa is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer specializing in design for hazardous areas. This is your chance to be at the forefront of innovation crafting ground breaking products that meet the highest safety standards while driving new solutions to our customers.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will:

  • Circuit Design:Design electrical protection circuits within mixed signal circuit designs to meet intrinsic safety requirements
  • Mechanical/System Design:Interpret and directly apply product safety standards to mechanical system designs.
  • Collaborate:Work with marketing CAD test certification engineers and project managers to build new products that meet global safety requirements.
  • Champion Designs:Craft compelling technical justifications that showcase and validate products safety features
  • Create:Initiate new parts drawings product drawing packages production process sheets and quality control test plans.

For This Role You Will Need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering Electrical Engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of low-level circuit design: Resistors capacitors diodes etc.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment including defining setting up troubleshooting and completing required tests.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Intrinsic Safety and Flameproof/Explosion-Proof Approvals
  • Technical expertise in both electrical and mechanical development.
  • 3 years experience developinglow-level circuits embedded mixed signal circuitry schematic capture circuit analysis and PCB layout.
  • Ability to perform complex circuit analysis and experience in Intrinsic Safety or similar applications.
  • Experience with Agile Product Development.
