The opportunity

Join our dynamic community healthcare organisation and become a pivotal member of our engaged workforce. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an additional Team Leader to join our team providing operational support to the team and support assessment and intervention to young people and families using a trauma-informed approach to enhance mental health and wellbeing outcomes.

This role will be based in either of the locations of Hawthorn or Malvern

What you will be doing Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership and line management to the Team at headspace Hawthorn/ Malvern
  • Working within the Leadership team to manage rosters oversee waitlists and demand management
  • Deliver individual group and family support
  • Provide case management/care coordination to a small number of young people with complex and chronic risk

What you will bring Key Selection Criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in mental health alcohol and other drugs social work psychology or other relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated experience working in youth mental health alcohol and other drugs community or similar health services (minimum five years experience)
  • Experience and skill in brief intervention and clinical risk assessment and management
  • Relevant training experience or qualifications in leadership
  • Skills in working with young people across the 12- 25-year age group and understanding of relevant social and developmental stages
