This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET) where were developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origins mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.Youre invited to join us as a Software Engineer in a full-stack capacityfocused on buildingBlue Origins AI driven automation capabilities. In this role youll use your development expertise and Generative AI knowledge to streamline and automate critical workflows build next generation AI powered agents and chatbots automate technical support use cases and accelerate adoption of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and other state of the art techniques.
You will be joining a newly formed team with an ambitious mission. This team is building agentic software that reinvents the experience of obtaining technology support throughout the company. When engineers need help it will be your software that provides it in a delightful accurate and fast way. This is a high visibility team that will interact with all areas of the company.This is an applied engineering role in which youll turn GenAI potential into real secure scalable solutions that power Blue Origins space missions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Architect develop and deploy full stack GenAI powered automation solutions across Blue Origin platforms and/or teams.
- Design and implement advanced chatbots workflow automations and AI-powered services to support mission-ready operations.
- Prototype and integrate new GenAI techniques including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) AI Agents into production systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure automation initiatives deliver tangible value.
- Continuously research and implement emerging GenAI trends to keep Blue Origin at the forefront of automation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong software engineering skills with demonstrated expertise in Python and/or Go.
- Solid experience designing building and maintaining modern web applicationsboth front end (React or similar) and back end.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes and Docker) and cloud-based deployments (AWS preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly document solutions and architectures.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with GenAI (e.g. LLMs RAG chatbots prompt engineering) or practical knowledge of machine learning algorithms.
- Professional experience with modern JavaScript frameworks preferably React.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; proven ability to deliver results independently and within teams.
- Track record of successful project delivery in a fast-paced results-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and share knowledge within the team.
- Hands on experience with GenAI agents multi-agent systems or agent orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangChain LlamaIndex OpenAI tools etc.).
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $177567.00-$248593.80Other site ranges may differ
