Position Title: Line Cook Department: Culinary Operations Location: Hilton Garden Inn Aksarben Village Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor

Job Purpose

To prepare and execute food orders with speed precision and excellence. This includes la carte dishes banquet prep and buffet serviceall delivered to the highest quality standards and aligned with business volume and leadership expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Start each morning by organizing your station and preparing dishes for service.

  • Set up the line and steam table for banquets (as needed) efficiency and presentation.
  • Prepare guest orders as received ensuring timeliness accuracy and optimal food quality.

  • Master menu items recipes and presentation standards.

  • Safely store food using proper containers and temperature controls.

  • Cook only whats necessary to meet projected business volume while minimizing waste.

  • Collaborate with other kitchen departments by preparing cross-functional ingredients and components.

  • Prep items for the next shift and the following day based on supervisor instructions.

  • Maintain a clean sanitary and organized work environment in compliance with local health and safety codes.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

  • Prep and cook for any banquets as needed.

Job Skills & Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 months of hands-on cooking experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel kitchen.

Skills:

  • Proficient in standardized food preparation methods and recipe execution.

  • Skilled in using hand tools and kitchen equipment with precision.

  • Ability to calculate quantities measurements and material costs.

  • Strong recipe comprehension and attention to detail.

  • Must have open availability on Weekends
