Senior Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a Senior Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Architectto join our Infrastructure team and drive modernization efforts across our hybrid environment. This role is critical to improving how we integrate On-Premises Data Centers with Microsoft Azure supporting our transition away from legacy technologies and strengthening cloud operations across the organization.
You will work alongside senior engineers collaborate with IS teams and help uplift our infrastructure landscape by implementing hybrid best practices enhancing operational excellence and promoting cloud adoption and automation strategies.
This role will also play a key part in mentoring and uplifting the current Infrastructure teams skills toward cloud-based management and preparing for future cloud-first initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Lead and support hybrid infrastructure operations from day-to-day system health to high-impact modernization and migration projects.
- Architect and evolve hybrid cloud solutions that improve performance resiliency security and cost-efficiency across both data centers and Azure.
- Design and manage infrastructure services across compute storage networking identity and backup both cloud-native and on-premises.
- Champion automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to increase repeatability scalability and compliance.
- Oversee the full system lifecycle including provisioning decommissioning patching and monitoring with an eye on operational excellence and process maturity.
- Drive hybrid network architecture including ExpressRoute SD-WAN VPNs and inter-site connectivity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders security teams and service providers to align infrastructure with business goals compliance needs and cloud-first strategies.
- Mentor infrastructure team members and help build a strong foundation in cloud-native skills and DevOps practices.
- Identify and address legacy bottlenecks propose solutions to reduce technical debt and help prioritize infrastructure improvements and platform upgrades.

Preferred Experience
- 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering with increasing responsibility in hybrid cloud environments.
- Proven track record designing deploying and supporting enterprise hybrid infrastructure integrating Azure with on-prem data centers.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure services like Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Azure Arc hybrid networking (e.g. ExpressRoute VPNs) and cloud storage integrations.
- Strong foundation in cloud governance policy RBAC cost optimization and automation frameworks (e.g. Bicep PowerShell ARM or Terraform).
- Experience supporting or leading infrastructure modernization initiatives such as server and workload migrations DR planning or automation of provisioning.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust network segmentation and security alignment in hybrid environments.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-104 AZ-700 AZ-140 AZ-305) are a strong asset especially when backed by real-world implementation experience
