Job Description

IAT Insurance Group is seeking a Data Integration Solution Architect to join our Data Management team. This role is responsible for designing and delivering robust data integration solutions that support business operations and strategic initiatives. Please note IAT works on a hybrid schedule working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data structures business processes and integration technologies and will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to deliver high-quality scalable solutions. The position will be in one of our following offices:

  • Naperville IL
  • Rolling Meadows IL
  • Raleigh NC
  • Milwaukee WI

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and understand data solution requirements and source systems.
  • Develop deep knowledge of data structures business processes and data semantics.
  • Design end-to-end data integration solutions including architecture blueprints data models mappings and specifications.
  • Lead the development of ETL solutions using SQL and SSIS on the SQL Server platform.
  • Collaborate with business leaders IT teams SMEs and process owners to ensure alignment and quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ETL developers and data engineers.
  • Contribute to the definition and enforcement of data integration standards best practices and methodologies.
  • Evaluate solution options and recommend optimal approaches based on business needs and technical feasibility.
  • Support solution deployment documentation and ongoing operations.
  • Participate in change management and version control processes.

Qualifications:
Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in data engineering data modeling and data integration design; or equivalent
  • Equivalent is defined as 11 years of relative experience
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and SSIS for SQL Server
  • Solid understanding of data integration methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with data modeling tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with version control deployment automation and data operations
Preferred to Have
  • Knowledge of insurance industry data models especially in the Property & Casualty domain.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures is a plus.

Compensation:
Please note if you live in Illinois the typical salary range for this role will be $106400 to $168100. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position in that location. Actual salary will vary based on factors such as a candidates qualifications skills competencies and geographical location related to this specific role. The total compensation will include a base salary performance-based bonus opportunities 401(K) match profit-sharing opportunities and more.
