Job Description
This is a full-time position as the lead PT in the Cuyahoga Falls city school position requires a close working relationship with a full-time consists of pre-K through grade 12 and varies each year ranging from 50-70 patients.
Job requires:
- Working onsite inside the schools with intermittent work from home
- Extensive knowledge of ETRs IEPs standardized assessments Medicaid billing and 9-week progress reports
- Frequent meetings both live/in person and via Zoom/Teams including communication with parents
- Set up and use of specialized therapy equipment (wheelchairs positioning orthotics)
- Must be extremely flexible very organized and have the ability to plan ahead
Evaluates and treats patients with injury or illness through established physical therapy interventions and treatment procedures. Supervision of physical therapist assistants students and others as deemed appropriate.
Education and Training
- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy; New Grads are required to have a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current license issued by the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy/Athletic Trainer Board to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio.
- BLS required.
Experience
- One (1) year of experience working as a Physical Therapist preferred.
Other Skills Competencies and Qualifications
- Successful verbal and written communication skills required for customer relations.
- Must be able to lift and transport patients and equipment.
- Must be willing to work with individuals with disabilities
- Must be willing to travel to all schools in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio
