JOB SUMMARY: The SAP FICO BSA is responsible for analyzing designing and supporting SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules to meet business needs. This role acts as a bridge between finance teams and IT ensuring that SAP solutions align with financial processes compliance requirements and strategic goals. The BSA plays a key role in system implementations upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives providing both functional expertise and project leadership.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP FICO functional specifications.
- Configure and support SAP FI (GL AP AR AA) and CO (Cost Center Profit Center Internal Orders Product Costing) modules.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to streamline processes and improve reporting.
- Lead or support SAP FICO implementations enhancements and upgrades.
- Perform system testing user acceptance testing (UAT) and support go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP FICO-related issues and incidents.
- Document business processes system configurations and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls SOX and audit requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g. MM SD HR) for integrated solutions
- Lead or support SAP FICO implementations enhancements and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP FICO-related issues and incidents.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities and financial reporting.
Work Experience
- 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Functional Consultant in SAP FICO.
- Experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in requirements gathering solution design and end-user training.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g. pharma manufacturing) is a plus.
- Proven ability to support month-end and year-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Experience working in multi-entity multi-currency environments with global finance teams.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional workshops gathering requirements and delivering end-user training.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- SAP FICO certification is preferred
- Experience with at least two full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in requirements gathering solution design and end-user training.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g. pharma manufacturing) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail deadlines and reporting
- High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite Outlook and Internet applications
