Family Workers - About the role

In Cornwall we put the needs of children right at the heart of everything we do and that takes professionals who share our enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people. If this is you we have a vacancy in the Newquay Clays Family Assessment and Support Team.

Family Workers work as part of multi-disciplinary team where children young people and their families need coordinated support at times of increased need and difficulty. Family Workers carry out assessments with children and families (-9 months to 18 years ) devise plans of intervention and undertake direct work .To do this you will be trained to utilise a range of evidence-based approaches including Signs of Safety & Motivational Interviewing and accredited Parenting Programmes. We have a good training programme and excellent career progression.

Working Pattern:

Expected Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5.15pm with some flexibility.

What youll need to succeed:

You must hold a relevant level three professional qualification related to supporting children and families e.g. Education Health and Social Care and have experience of delivering services for children and their families.

This position will be subject toan enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.
