Job Description: Project Manager
Overview
My client are seeking a dynamic and driven Project Manager to lead and oversee a variety of commercial and residential refurbishment projects including structural alterations. As a key player on the team you will bring your expertise and organisational skills to drive projects from initial planning to successful completion. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles for refurbishment commercial residential and structural construction projects ensuring that timelines budgets and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams contractors and stakeholders to establish project scope objectives and deliverables.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project plans schedules and budgets.
- Monitor project progress identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices at all times.
- Build and foster strong relationships with clients vendors and team members for seamless project execution.
- Prepare regular progress reports provide updates to stakeholders and facilitate decision-making processes.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and implement lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in refurbishment commercial residential or structural construction industries.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project Primavera etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail in delivering projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership experience with a focus on team collaboration motivation and development.
- A formal qualification in construction management engineering or related disciplines is preferred though relevant experience will be considered.

Day-to-Day
- Plan and conduct project kick-off meetings with stakeholders defining roles responsibilities and timelines.
- Monitor all on-site and off-site construction activities tracking progress and addressing emerging challenges effectively.
- Consult with architects engineers contractors and suppliers to align project objectives and resolve technical issues.
- Lead coordination of work schedules across different teams to ensure minimal delays and enhanced efficiency.
- Review project costs and control expenditures ensuring budget adherence and making adjustments as needed.
- Communicate regularly with clients providing updates and ensuring expectations are managed throughout the project.
- Conduct site visits to oversee progress quality standards and adherence to safety standards.
- Celebrate team wins and consistently ensure team members feel valued and included in a culture of collaboration.
