DescriptionWorks directly with sonographers cardiovascular trainees and consultants in the review of echocardiograms. Integrates known clinical information echocardiographic findings and related physiologic data to ensure that the exam is comprehensive and accurate.
Completely and accurately document data and echo exam information utilizing current information management system in preparation for physician review. Communicates closely with patient service representatives to triage patients and coordinate patient care schedules. Must demonstrate flexibility to accommodate lab staffing needs. When required must be able to perform complete echocardiographic study integrating all imaging modalities necessary to obtain all pertinent patient data. Must possess strong human relation and communication skills and sound judgment. Must demonstrate flexibility in learning all equipment. Must have an understanding of sterile procedures and isolation precaution techniques and must exercise proper precautions to avoid potential
Qualifications- Requires a minimum of 5 years full-time experience as a cardiac sonographer. A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
- Must possess Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credentials.
- Requires Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) credential or current enrollment of an accredited ACS program.
- Requires up-to-date certification in Basic Life Support.
- Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) certification preferred. Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification preferred
