US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Clinical Manager to join our team at Memorial Katy Cardiology in Katy TX.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the clinical department of Memorial Katy Cardiology ensuring high-quality patient care managing a team of nurses and medical assistants. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership technical and communication skills paired with a deep understanding of cardiovascular technologies and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support clinical staff including licensed vocational nurses and medical assistants.
- Conduct hiring onboarding training performance evaluations and disciplinary actions to ensure quality service delivery and professional development.
- Manage staff schedules approve PTO and ensure adequate coverage for clinical operations.
- Foster a collaborative patient-centered work environment.
- Attends regular meetings with Practice Manager and USHV leadership. Collaborate with Operations HR and senior leadership to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Communicate updates and process improvements to staff and physicians.
- Oversee daily clinical and imaging workflows to ensure timely accurate and high-quality patient care.
- Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of clinical equipment (e.g. EKGs treadmill machines etc).
- Manage departmental budgets inventory and procurement of clinical and imaging supplies.
- Scheduling and coordinating hospital procedures.
- Assisting with in-office procedures
- Triaging urgent patient calls and visits
- Communicating abnormal test results and next steps to patients
- Managing FMLA and work-related documentation for patients
- Adjusting medications and managing INR levels
- Redistributing clinical documents reports etc. to clinical staff as needed.
- Monitor imaging quality and accuracy in alignment with cardiology standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA OSHA ACR and other regulatory standards.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs for both clinical and imaging services.
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify and resolve compliance issues.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiology imaging and clinical technologies.
- Recommend and implement new tools or processes to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- Advanced certifications (LVN RN ACNP-BC PA etc.) preferred but not required
- Minimum 5 years in a healthcare setting with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in cardiology is strongly preferred but not required
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Knowledge of cardiology imaging modalities (e.g. EKG echo nuclear).
- Proficiency in medical billing scheduling and EMR systems.
- Experience in cardiology is strongly preferred but not required
