Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS-
- Prepares the companys consolidated financial statements and footnotes including ensuring compliance with US GAAP and any other applicable regulations.
- Assists with preparation and review of other materials that include financial statement data.
- Ensures creation of auditable support with clear documentation.
- Participates in the month-end close process which includes preparation of journal entries account analysis and reconciliations.
- Perform accounting research and analysis on technical accounting topics including preparation of accounting memos
- Monitors and researches FASB and SEC activities to identify potential rule changes that may impact the company.
- Documents and updates the companys key accounting policies.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to promote streamlined processes financial systems operational efficiencies and enhanced internal controls.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support the audit process
- Perform other duties as required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE-
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience including experience working with publicly-traded companies
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Industry experience in retail and/or consumer products and international experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Highly organized detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate clear and concise ideas orally and in writing
- Creative thinker who can bring innovative ideas and approaches to solve issues
$95K-$135K/ANNUALLY
