Visy Logistics part of the wider Visy Group provides Australian freight services with comprehensive and competitive road rail and domestic sea freight intermodal and 3PL capabilities. We offer genuine end-to-end logistics taking full advantage of the Groups existing supply chain network linehaul fleet and expertise.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Linehaul professional to lead our VIC and SA operations. As State Manager Linehaul you will be accountable for service delivery safety compliance and financial performance across both states driving operational excellence and delivering long-term growth. Reporting to the General Manager of Linehaul youll lead a high-performing team while engaging with clients internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. You will bring an agile commercially focused approach and a passion for continuous improvement to influence operational strategy and deliver measurable results.
Further to the above other key activities will be:
- Lead the operational and financial performance of SA & Vic ensuring profitability and accountability for P&L outcomes
- Engage and support staff daily on safety practices fostering a culture of care and promoting Safety Improvement Plans
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with wider departments senior management clients and customers
- Enhance and implement supply chain practices to ensure compliance with regulations and environmental best practices
- Lead all facets of safety service delivery and cost control within the Linehaul company fleet business
- Ensure strict compliance with SA/Victorian regulations including NHVR CoR WHS laws and internal policies
- Support tender negotiations and contribute to business development efforts for prospective new customers
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive experience in a senior management role within the Supply Chain industry
- A proven track record in managing and optimizing complex transport operations and supply chain networks
- P&L management skills with a solid financial and analytical acumen
- Exceptional stakeholder management influencing and business partnering abilities
- A strategic decision-making mindset with the ability to make timely and effective business decisions while identifying opportunities for improvement
- A continuous improvement approach with strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-oriented mindset
