Posting Summary
Rutgers The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Development Analyst for the Office of Education at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The Program Development Analyst assists with the development implementation and evaluation of the Community Engaged Service Learning course and medical student experiences at the medical school as well as with supporting programs run by the office of community health and office of education at the medical school. Provides administrative and program support to the Program Director Office of Community Health Pre-clerkship Education Dean Associate Dean of Primary Care Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and CESL course director (or designees). Is responsible for the day-to day operations of the CESL course and other community-engaged and experiential learning programs. Functions as a liaison between community partners the medical school education deans office of community health faculty mentors students and other departments within the University. Conducts evaluations of the full service and experiential learning components of the medical school curriculum. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Works closely with the Program Director (Office of Community Health) CESL course Director Associate Dean of Preclerkship curriculum Associate Dean for Primary Care and other community-engaged associates to ensure that the goals and objectives for the community-engaged and experiential learning programs are being met. Participates in program development activities pertaining to CESL and other community-engaged and experiential learning programs and collaborates with other units dedicated to community health services research and career development. Serves as project administrator on special projects interacting with administrators faculty students and staff as required. Coordinates CESL other community-engaged and experiential learning research and career development activities for students faculty and staff. Works closely with the Associate Dean for Primary Care and the Program Director Office of Community Health by providing students with structured guidance for implementing meaningful effective and sustainable service projects that address the needs of New Brunswick and the surrounding communities for all medical students who must complete community service as part of the Community Engaged Service Learning ( CESL ) course through their 4 years of medical school. Assist students in identifying healthcare access and quality issues both at the individual and community level while demonstrating a commitment to service as a means to promote the health of the community. Meets with students on a regular basis to discuss their CESL projects with an understanding that they recognize social responsibility and a commitment to service. Will also work with them regarding their projects to ensure collaborative efforts by geographic proximity special interest or similar situations to address issues affecting the well-being of the community. Ensure that each individual student understands that they are required to complete at least one CESL project while meeting the following requirements: statement of need proposed idea proposed service-learning activity expected learning outcome expected contribution to the community and a plan to evaluate outcome(s). Tracks students service hours through the Redcap (or similar) system to ensure that they meet the yearly required hours of community service through the CESL course. Develops maintains and generates reports from the databases on CESL service activities DISC research career development and other experiential learning activities.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer knowledge of community health. Masters degree. Prefer experience with community service organizations database management and all levels of program support. Prefer experience with educational program development and evaluation.
