Summary
The one-line assembler is expected to fully understand all warehouse processes to proficiently execute CES Online fulfillment center activities and standard operating procedures.
The one-line assembler will be responsible for assembling products on the production line and ensuring that all parts and components are assembled correctly and in a timely manner. The assembler must adhere to safety efficiency and quality standards set out by the company.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
- Operate and maneuver material handling equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in a manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers instructions.
- Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections (follow LEAN principles).
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Reads and deciphers schematics blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Uses hand tools to assemble parts.
- Collaborating with team to assemble products.
- Identify defective and handle them according to established procedures.
- Monitor inventory for correct quantities of components.
- Verify resources and supplies prior to assembly.
- Inspect tools and equipment necessary to perform the task.
- Using reason to solve problems as they rise.
- Report out-of-stock items to management.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work full-time or overtime if necessary.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- No prior work experience required; 2-3 years of experience preferred: prior warehouse experience preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping and climbing. The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
