Embark on your midwifery career with Epworth through our 2026 Midwifery Postgraduate Program. This is a unique opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive team of midwives where you will continue to grow your clinical knowledge and professional skills in the rewarding field of midwifery.
Throughout the 12-month program commencing in February 2026 you will be guided mentored and supported by our experienced Clinical Educators. The program offers a combination of practical experience and academic learning delivered in collaboration with La Trobe University as part of the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery.
We are offering an exciting 0.8 EFT role that provides a unique blend of paid employment as a registered nurse and supernumerary clinical experience as a student midwife in conjunction with the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery La Trobe.
This position includes:
You will be part of a rotating roster across diverse maternity settings allowing you to gain comprehensive hands-on experience and continue developing your clinical skills within a supportive and collaborative team.
This integrated role is ideal for those seeking to consolidate their learning while progressing in a structured and sustainable career pathway. In addition youll have access to further professional development opportunities through Epworths extensive scholarship program supporting your continued growth and advancement within the maternity healthcare field.
Increased ongoing EFT opportunities will also be offered to midwives successfully completing this program where available.
Please note: Once your application with Epworth is successful you will be required to apply separately to La Trobe University as part of the course admission process.
