Job Description
Join the ProteinPaint Team led by Dr. Xin Zhou to develop a cutting-edge software platform for biomedical data sharing and exploration. ProteinPaint ( began as a cancer mutation visualization tool and is now an umbrella platform behind published data portals including GenomePaint Neuro-Oncology portal and Survivorship Portal. Other high-profile initiatives include NCI Genomic Data Commons American Society for Hematology Genomic Platform and St. Jude Global Pediatric Medicine data dashboards. Were expanding to single cell omics metabolomics imaging and radiology and population science by offering highly interoperable tools to support multi-modal data integration at unprecedented scale.
The applicant should be driven by a strong interest in a career of data-sharing platform development for biomedical research. Prior experience in JavaScript R Rust python SQL Linux Github DevOps and cloud computing is highly preferred. While on the team the trainee will be exposed to the many ongoing projects and participate in discussions with internal and external collaborators. After gaining efficiency the new hire can lead high profile projects and author manuscripts.

A doctoral degree (PhD MD or equivalent) in a relevant field.
Special Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
Required:
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree (PhD MD or equivalent) in cancer biology or related fields.
Preferred:
Scientific background in cancer genomics immunology genetics or related fields.
Coding experiences in JavaScript R Rust python SQL Linux Github DevOps and cloud computing.
