Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Career and Self-Development - tutor will develop more skills/awareness by working with students who are exploring their own career pathways and life skills. Leadership - tutors will lead students through workshop teaching materials personal advising and event management. Equity and Inclusion by working with students tutors will become more aware of the high needs of our students. Teamwork - GO College staff works as a team continuously in the office and during events. Communication - GO College tutors learn to diversify their communication styles to effectively impact our students. Gannon Universitys GO College program is seeking tutors/mentors to work at Strong Vincent Middle School for after school tutoring field trip chaperones and mentoring. GO College is a federally & locally funded college access program that provides free tutoring mentoring field trips (campus and career focused) and academic advising for 6th through 8th graders.

Required Qualifications
Ability to obtain clearances (criminal FBI child-abuse). Must be well-rounded academically but the ability to tutor in math and science is essential. *Outgoing personality and ability to work with a variety of personalities cultures and learning abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience tutoring/mentoring in a middle school and/or high school. Availability from 2:45-4:00 PM on both Monday and Wednesday Availability during normal school hours for workshop planning and office work. Must be able to tutor all subjects but most predominantly math and science. *Must be able to commute to Strong Vincent Middle School.
