The ideal candidate will have 35 years of teaching experience and a demonstrated passion for both English and education. We are looking for a joyful enthusiastic educator who inspires student interest engagement and achievement in the classroom. Additionally candidates should be eager to contribute to school life beyond the classroom through co-curricular activities such as coaching or student advising. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Teach English & Communications to grades 7 & 8- Prepare course materials such as syllabi homework assignments and handouts- Maintain student attendance records grades and other required records- Evaluate and grade students class work assignments and papers- Plan evaluate and revise curricula course content and course materials and methods of instruction- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to advise and assist students- Participate in school evaluation and professional development programs- Advise students on academic and other matters in accordance with the Schools mission- Moderate and facilitate extracurricular activities as required- Participate in some infrequent evening or weekend activities including meetings professional development or other school community events- Other duties as assignedPosition Type: Full-timePositions Available: 1 Job Category: Classroom Teacher > English Teacher: General
