Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Must have a valid Florida Drivers License and obtain a Florida Commercial Drivers License Class B with endorsement code X without air brake restrictions within 180 days after hire and must pass a D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) Physical every two (2) years or Class A with air brakes dependent upon company location.
- Must be able to write and print legibly.
- Must be able to read at normal comprehensive level.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Must have a keen sense of smell and adequate hearing and eyesight.
- Must possess tact and suitable personality for customer contact.
- Must be capable of utilizing telephone.
- Must be in good physical condition and capable of doing manual labor.
- Must be able to read street maps and travel to dispatched locations.
- Must be willing to participate in Company provided training programs.
- Must be capable of being trained in using all types of equipment and instruments associated with performance of duties.
- Must be capable of reading gauges and meters.
- Must be able and willing to direct the work of others in equal or lower classifications.
- Must be capable and willing to obtain certification to render first aid artificial resuscitation etc.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
- Must be familiar with federal state and local rules and regulations applicable to their job.
- Must be certified to perform P.E. heat fused and mechanical joints.
- Required to be On Call Duty rotation.
- Must be able to pass the training requirements outlined in the Training Grid associated with this position.
