Overall Purpose: Lead and implement comprehensive environmental health and safety programs ensuring regulatory compliance risk mitigation and a safe workplace culture.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations; implement changes to ensure compliance.
Conduct Risk Assessments: Lead regular audits to identify hazards and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
Policy Enforcement: Communicate EHS policies and procedures to all employees ensuring adherence.
Lead Incident Investigations: Investigate incidents to identify causes and prevent recurrence; maintain comprehensive records and reports.
Other Duties as Assigned: Support emergency preparedness promote sustainability manage resources and team leadership and perform various tasks as needed to fulfill the organizational EHS objectives.
Job Contribution: Oversees the daily operations of their team ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role focuses on immediate team management task delegation and the resolution of day-to-day issues. Typically leads occupational staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring firing disciplinary action and promotional activity for subordinates. Supervisor: Yes
Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&Ts compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include but is not limited to work related to fuel tanks emergency and stand-by generators boilers hazardous waste hazardous materials batteries manholes and vaults water wells linear and other construction projects water discharge or air emissions.
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree (BS/BA) desired. 3 years of related experience.
