2nd Shift Saw Operator
Ability to work in the shift: Monday-Thursday 3PM-1:30AM occasionally overtime.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
Safety minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits.
Reading and understanding the specifics of the job order instructions for individual customer orders.
Selecting the correct materials and quantity of materials for individual customer orders.
Ensuring that work instructions are followed precisely to successfully complete the door package.
Understanding daily production goals and work at a pace that meets or exceeds those requirements.
Inspecting raw materials to ensure no pre-existing damage or scratches due to defective incoming materials prior to machining.
Fabricating parts to precise dimension by using machine tools.
Selecting pre-set CNC programs that will accomplish the tasks indicated on the customer orders.
Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
This position requires the following essential knowledge skills and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfil the role:
The ability to use basic mathematics including fractions for measuring cutting and calculating lengths and widths of materials.
Detailed oriented using fine visual and manual skills.
The ability to use a variety of hand tools micrometers gauges and other precision measuring instruments.
The ability to use punch presses.
The ability work in a fast-paced environment for an extended period of time.
The ability to read and understand layouts shop orders and process control documents.
