Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union is seeking a Music Teacher to join our team of collaborative and enthusiastic staff dedicated to helping students achieve their fullest potential for the 2025/2026 school year. In this 1.0 FTE position the Music Teacher will deliver a comprehensive music education program to elementary school students at Currier Memorial School (0.50 FTE) and Sunderland Elementary School (0.50 FTE) as part of the Unified Arts Rotation. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborative team member who is committed to continuing to work on their teaching practice through professional development both individually and as a arts are a deeply valued component of our schools and community. The Music Teacher develops in each student a lifelong interest in and appreciation of music as a fundamental expression of human emotion. In this position the Music Teacher enables students to experience the beauty emotional intensity and thoughtfulness of music and musical expression. Utilizing a variety of musical experiences that include making studying interpreting evaluating and performing music the Music Teacher provides a safe and inclusive learning environment where artistic risk-taking discovery and experimentation are are expected to have knowledge in current instructional research and evidence-based instructional practices.
