Role Description

We are seeking an intermediate Oracle Developer with strong expertise in PL/SQL and hands-on experience in database migrations. The ideal candidate will contribute to database migration projects assist in resolving technical issues and collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration of Oracle databases with applications and analytics platforms. A basic understanding of Python will be valuable for troubleshooting and debugging issues at the PL/SQL code level. Experience with SingleStore (formerly MemSQL) is a plus and will be considered an added advantage.

Technical Skills

Key Responsibilities:
Database Development: Assist in the development of complex PL/SQL queries procedures and functions to meet project requirements.
Database Migrations: Participate in database migration projects ensuring smooth data transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers architects and cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and contribute to the design of solutions.
Database Integration: Collaborate with other teams to ensure Oracle database integration with applications and analytics platforms.
Troubleshooting and Debugging: Assist in troubleshooting PL/SQL code issues and provide solutions to resolve technical challenges.
Learning and Development: Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills particularly in PL/SQL Oracle databases and related technologies.
SingleStore Experience (Preferred): If the candidate has exposure to SingleStore they will have the opportunity to work on projects involving this hybrid database solution.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL development.
PL/SQL Expertise: Good knowledge of PL/SQL programming with the ability to write debug and optimize queries procedures and functions.
Database Migrations: Familiarity with database migration processes and understanding of how to migrate data between environments.
Python Knowledge: Basic understanding of Python to assist in troubleshooting and debugging PL/SQL-related issues.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Oracle databases and PL/SQL code.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team communicate well and collaborate with other developers and technical teams.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle certifications (e.g. Oracle Certified Associate) are a plus.
Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization.
Exposure to cloud-based Oracle solutions (e.g. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is a plus.
Experience with SingleStore (MemSQL) or other modern database technologies is an added advantage.
