Job Description
As a CGO Express Train Engineer you will be responsible for conducting a small train across a one-mile track. Guest safety and positive interactions will be your top priority as an engineer as well as performing routine maintenance checks to ensure train operation needs are identified and handled smoothly.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a part of the Train Engineer role you will be responsible for:
- Prioritizing the guests safety while fostering positive interactions
- Operating the train along its tracks
- Maintaining vigilance in guarding the railroad to ensure the safety of guests and the trains operation.
- Assisting guests during the boarding and deboarding process ensuring a smooth and safe experience.
- Conducting daily inspections of the train engine and track reporting any issues promptly to either the Farm Mechanic or Owner
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Carry a valid drivers license
- Must attend Center Grove Orchards Train Engineer School
- Must pass Center Grove Orchards Engineer Driving Evaluation
- Able to handle working in warm and cold conditions
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs to install/remove a handicap seat
