Summary of Job Duties:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) consistently provides effective direct care to a variety of patients will work as part of the interdisciplinary team based on licensure title and competencies.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associates Degree in Nursing Nursing Diploma Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas
  • Excellent communication skills basic computer skills strong work ethic and accountability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of Registered Nurse experience
  • Current BLS

Additional Information:

  • The RN seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. The RN integrates theory and research into clinical practice.
  • The RN provides leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards.
  • The RN works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager (CSM). Promotion is based on years of experience satisfactory performance appraisals and recommendation by manager.
  • Employee must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training to identify prevent and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as non-escalation de-escalation personal protection from physical assaults and physical alternatives within six months of hire.
  • PRI Inpatient Units include the General Adult Inpatient Unit the Womens Unit the Child Diagnostic Unit and the Interventional Hospital-Based Clinic.
