We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Site Reliability Engineer for our West Jordan Utah area!
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Audio Enhancement you will be a key member of our Platform Engineering team responsible for ensuring the reliability scalability and performance of our production systems. Working alongside cross-functional teams you will help drive innovation and automation to improve our operational excellence minimize downtime and create seamless customer experiences.
Duties include:
System Reliability & Uptime:
- Architect implement and maintain robust scalable and highly available systems.
- Develop monitoring strategies create reliable alerting mechanisms and establish performance baselines.
- Engage in proactive incident management troubleshooting and post-incident analyses to prevent recurrences.
Automation & Infrastructure:
- Design and develop automation tools to streamline deployment scaling and operational tasks.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate operational best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Lead initiatives around infrastructure-as-code and configuration management.
Performance & Capacity Planning:
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning exercises to ensure systems operate efficiently under load.
- Analyze system metrics and logs to diagnose performance issues and recommend improvements.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Work closely with software engineers product teams and operations to design and implement best practices.
- Mentor junior team members and drive knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in systems engineering site reliability engineering or DevOps.
- Strong coding/scripting skills in one or more languages (e.g. Python BASH or Go).
- Proven experience with Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud or Azure) and container orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex systems and incidents.
- Proven experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Preferred:
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems in a production environment.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Cloud Certifications (or willingness to obtain):
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary wage is negotiable based on skill level and experience.
